Non-governmental partners of IHEA-USA enthusiastically support the mission of safe and responsible hunting and the protection of the hunting heritage and wildlife conservation in North America. Many of the partners whose logos and descriptions are below also support the IHEA-USA financially and/or through mutual projects. Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies - the most important IHEA-USA partner, AFWA is the professional organization for the state fish and wildlife agencies that house the hunter education programs and professionals. As an affiliate member of AFWA, IHEA-USA works at the discretion of state directors and commission and, therefore, AFWA itself. IHEA-USA participates directly on AFWA's Hunting and Shooting Sports Participation Committee and attends and participates in other important committees and efforts of AFWA. AFWA committees meet twice a year --in the fall at the AFWA Annual Conference and in the spring at WMI's Annual North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference.
Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports - an important partner is the Council. IHEA-USA sits on the board of the Council to represent the voice of 50 state hunter education administrators, 55,000 hunter education instructors and over 700,000 hunter education students trained annually.The key effort by the Council is to come up with a strategic action plan for the participation of hunters and shooting sports enthusiasts in the future -- the very survival of North American Conservation efforts!
American Wildlife Conservation Partners - Came together to implement Wildlife for the 21st Century which represent a general agreement of the partners...to ensure success of wildlife management and conservation efforts in America. While all partners may not necessarily support each and every position or recommendations, and reserve the right to their own positions, they do support the overall effort to partner for success. Archery Trade Association - Organization of manufacturers, retailers, distributors, sales reps. and others working in the archery and bow hunting industry.
Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies - Coordinates efforts of public administrative agencies responsible for the protection and management of fish, wildlife, forests, water and soils in order to maintain an adequate supply of fish and wildlife and other natural resources on this continent.
Bear Trust International - Identifies needs in bear conservation and develops projects to address conservation needs.
Boone and Crockett Club - It is the policy of the Boone and Crockett Club to promote the guardianship and provident management of big game and associated wildlife in North America and to maintain the highest standards of fair chase and sportsmanship in all aspects of big game hunting, in order that this resource of all the people may survive and prosper in its natural habitats. Consistent with this objective, the Club supports the use and enjoyment of our wildlife heritage to the fullest extent by this and future generations of mankind.
Buckmasters American Deer Foundation - Hosts life and disabled hunts and spearheads Project Venisons among many other projects and products for deer hunters and hunting.
Campfire Club of America - Begun by Dr. William T Horanday in 1904, the club is dedicated to conservation through parents and clubs.
Catch a Dream Foundation -Grants once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing experiences to children 18 years old or younger who have a life-threatening illness.
Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation - The mission of the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) is to ensure current and future generations have the opportunity to hunt, fish and trap. The CSF works to accomplish this mission by serving as the link between the sportsmen and women of America, conservation groups and the outdoor industries and the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus, a bi-partisan group of Senators and Congressmen who support hunting, fishing, trapping and professional wildlife management.
Conservation Force - To advocate hunting for its conservation role and value and its extraordinary importance in human terms, improve the image of hunters and hunting and to collaboratively unify sportsmen's conservation organizations.
Dallas Safari Club - Conserve wildlife, educate youth and the non-hunting public and promote and protect the interests of sportsmen and sportswomen worldwide.
Delta Waterfowl Foundation - Embraces new approaches to habitat conservation and a focus on duck production.
Ducks Unlimited - To fulfill the annual life cycle needs of North American waterfowl by protecting, enhancing, restoring and managing important wetlands and associated uplands.
Houston Safari Club - Preserving the Sport of Hunting, Supporting Wildlife Conservaton, Educating the Public on Hunting and Conservation Issues, and Protecting the interests of Sportsmen worldwide.
International Hunter Education Association-USA - To continue the heritage of hunting worldwide by developing safe, responsible, knowledgeable and involved hunters and shooting sports ethusiasts.
Izaak Walton League of America - To conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, forest, water and other natural resources of the United States and other lands; (and) to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.
Masters of Foxhounds Association - Promote, preserve and protect -- helping to save foxhunting for future generations.
Mule Deer Foundation - To ensure the conservation of mule and blacktail deer and their habitats.
National Association of Forest Service Retirees - Dedicated to the promotion of ideals and principles of natural resource conservation upon which the U.S. Forest Service was founded.
National Rifle Association - Protect and defend the US Constitution, especially the 2nd Amendment. Promote public safety, law and order, and the national defense. Train military, law enforcement, and public in marksmanship and safe gun handling. Foster and promote the shooting sports. Promote hunter safety, conservation, and wise use of renewable resources.
National Shooting Sports Foundation - To promote a better understanding of and a more active participation in the Shooting Sports.
National Trappers Association - To promote and defend the sustainable use of renewable natural resources (especially fur bearing animals) and the tools necessary for a sustainable harvest.
National Wild Turkey Federation - Dedicated to conserving wild turkeys and preserving hunting traditions.
North American Grouse Partnership - To rebuild and nurture flourishing populations of North American grouse through preservation and restoration of landscapes and habitats necessary for their continued existence.
Orion The Hunter's Institute - Dedicated to ethical hunting and its role in culture and conservation.

Public Lands Foundation - Advocates and works for the retention of America's National System of Public Lands in public hands, professionally and sustainably managed for responsible common use and enjoyment.

Shikar Safari - Shikar Safari Club International was founded in 1952 for the purpose of advancing knowledge concerning wildlife of the world, independently and in cooperation with zoological societies, universities, and museums. The Club membership is limited to 200 and is a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in Illinois.
Texas Wildlife Association - TWA is dedicated to the conservation, management, and enhancement of wildlife and wildlife habitat on private lands. TWA serves as an advocate for the benefit of wildlife and for the rights of wildlife mangers, landowners and sportsmen in educational, scientific, political, regulatory, legal and legislative arenas.
Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership - To inform and engage Americans to foster our conservation legacy while working to nurture, enhance and protect our fish and wildlife habitat resources on our National Forest System.
Tread Lightly - Lead national initiative to protect and enhance recreation access and opportunities by promoting outdoor ethics to heighten individuals' sense of good stewardship.
U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance - To defend hunting, fishing, trapping, and wildlife management against lawsuits, legislation, and misinformation initiated by anti-hunting, animal rights organizations.
Whitetails Unlimited - Whitetails Unlimited, Inc.'s purpose is to raise funds in support of: (1) educational programs (2) habitat conservation, and (3) preservation of the hunting tradition for the direct benefit of the white-tailed deer and other wildlife.
Wild Sheep Foundation - To promote and enhance increasing populations of indigenous wild sheep on the North American continent, to safeguard against the decline or extinction of such species, and to fund programs for professional management of these populations, keeping all administrative costs to a minimum.
Wildlife Forever - Wildlife Forever is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to conserving America's wildlife heritage through conservation education, preservation of habitat, and the management of fish and wildlife.
